Our unique market position and enviable reputation leads to strong trusted relationships and repeat business.Due to a strong pipeline of projects our Abu Dhabi team is expanding and we are seeking an experienced Technical Lead MEP to undertake a variety of projects across the region.Role PurposeThe role is expected to be key within our Building Services Business Group serving as an MEP technical lead assisting the Business Group Leader in managing the teams operations deliverables business development.We also expect the successful candidate to be involved inManagement of client relationship and representing GHD externally.Project and design management of selected projects which will require coordinating with internal disciplines and sub consultants.Client presentations requiring strong communication skills in addition to the solid technical background.Leading bids and proposals.The project technical control and ensure that all designs are technically sound and meet client brief.Lead the design coordination element between MEP and other disciplines.Critical relationshipsReporting to the Building Services Business Group Leader the role holder will collaborate with the discipline leads market leaders across the Middle East business groups to facilitate winning work. The role holder will also have key relationships with Project Directors Project and Design Managers which will be essential for the success of the assigned design coordination role.ClientsProvide technical expertise.Establish and maintain strong and effective relationships with Clients while ensuing client needs are met throughout all projects involved in.Position the business for opportunities and oversee the development and submission of proposals with a high success rate.Secure schedule and manage workload for the Business Group.Confirm design and model coordination requirements schedules and processes and map this out in project specific trackers across all Business Groups.Wed love to hear from you if you haveBachelors degree in mechanical or building services (with mechanical); masters degree is a plus.Minimum of 15 years of experience in MEP design with a multidisciplinary consulting engineering background.Chartered engineer (CIBSE or IMechE)Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a large project team.Strong communication skills.Out of box thinking and problem solving.Strong business development acumen with a track record of successful client engagement.Indepth knowledge of mechanical codes standards and best practices.Experience working in the GCC region is highly desirable.Project commercial awareness is essential.Our commitment to youCommitment is a powerful word that defines how we do business how we serve our clients and how we care for one another.
