Job DescriptionAldar Education is currently seeking an outstanding Teacher – KG for Yas American Academy in Abu Dhabi to start in August 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly successful Aldar family of schools and help shape the future of Abu Dhabi’s leading school group.Yas American Academy opened in September 2016 and provides high‑quality education to the Emirate. The children are taught the Massachusetts Common Core Curriculum, tailored to be meaningful to students attending the school, alongside the local curriculum of Arabic, Islamic Studies and Social Studies. Facilities include a large astro‑turf field, two swimming pools, a well‑stocked library, a large multi‑purpose sports hall, an auditorium and outdoor play areas. We provide a warm, friendly and supportive environment where students enjoy learning and achieving in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust.ResponsibilitiesDeliver lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve the best possible outcomes.Collaborate and work flexibly with colleagues, maintaining positive relationships with all members of the school community.Engage parents to ensure children’s happiness and academic outcomes.Plan, prepare and present sessions catering to the needs of the whole ability range.Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching.Observe and assess children in line with school assessments.Collaborate with support professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists when required.Take responsibility for the progress of a class and record student development using Target Tracker.Use assessment data to inform further planning, provision and intervention.Provide feedback to parents and carers at Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.Follow the school’s behaviour policy and manage classes effectively, using appropriate approaches to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.Maintain positive relationships with pupils, exercise appropriate authority and act decisively within the behaviour policy.Serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating expected attitudes, values and behaviour.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with the appropriate teaching qualification, e.g., Early Childhood Education.Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in EYFS.Job specific knowledge & skills:Previous experience working with students for whom English is not the first language.Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.High level of professionalism and consideration of children’s well‑being.Recent and consistent involvement in extra‑curricular activities.Positive and solution‑focused attitude to working life.Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.About The TeamYas American Academy provides a warm, friendly and supportive environment where students enjoy learning and achieving in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust.#J-18808-Ljbffr
