System Data Center Engineer (m/f/d)

System Data Center EngineerA leading organization is seeking an experienced System Data Center Engineer to support and maintain its on-premise data center infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and health of servers, storage, and related data center systems, ensuring the high availability and performance of the organization's infrastructure estate.Responsibilities:Operate and maintain data center infrastructure including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.Perform hardware maintenance, component replacement, and lifecycle management activities.Monitor system availability and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues before impact.Support capacity planning exercises and infrastructure expansion projects.Manage data center facilities activities including rack management, structured cabling, and power and cooling coordination.Implement and maintain OS and firmware patching on data center systems within agreed change windows.Coordinate with hardware vendors for support cases, warranty claims, and equipment procurement.Maintain accurate asset inventory and configuration documentation.Support disaster recovery operations and business continuity testing activities.Qualifications and Skills:4+ years of experience in data center operations or systems engineering.Hands‑on experience with server platforms such as HPE ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge, or equivalent.Knowledge of storage platforms (SAN, NAS) and data center networking technologies.Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper‑V.Understanding of data center facilities including power, cooling, and structured cabling.Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and infrastructure issues.CompTIA Server+, HPE ASE, Dell EMC, or VMware VCP certification is advantageous.Halian Group:With over 28 years of experience, we have come to understand that innovation is the only way to provide agile, practical solutions that transform businesses and careers.
