Our insights underpin customers’ decision-making from design to asset life extension, ensuring every decision delivers.The RoleWe are looking for a dedicated and experienced Survey Party Chief to join our team on a full-time permanent basis based in Abu Dhabi. The Party Chief is UTEC’s senior onboard representative and must ensure that all work is conducted in the best interests of UTEC and the Client. Must thoroughly understand work specifications, project requirements and client objectives, and is responsible for the safe, efficient and timely execution of, as well as Quality Assurance for the project.Duties/ResponsibilitiesSupervise survey operations ensuring safe working practices at all times and with due regard to contractual requirements, scope of work, procedures and regulations.Manage mobilisation and demobilisation activities with regard to safety of personnel and assets.Ensure all systems are functioning in compliance with contractual requirements, project procedures and company procedures to effectively conduct the scope of work.Ensure collection, collation, QC and distribution of all survey data relating to the scope of work as per project procedures and company procedures.Advise onshore management, company and client representatives when deviation from the approved procedure is necessary and record through the Management of Change Procedure.Compile operational / field reporting in a concise manner and in accordance with project procedures, client specifications and company procedures.Complete final reporting and data transfer / backup in accordance with project procedures, client specifications and company procedures.Effectively communicate with client representatives and company representatives onshore.Ensure all personnel in the offshore team understand their roles and responsibilities.Conduct personnel performance reviews/appraisals for your direct reports and provide specific performance data/feedback to supervisors of non-direct reports assigned to your projects.Perform other duties or tasks as assigned.RequirementsDegree in Geomatics, Surveying Science preferred.Relevant industry experience or military/academic experience in survey related discipline, including relevant management experience.Satisfactory completion of competence criteria for Senior Surveyor, Senior Survey Engineer, Senior Geophysicist or Senior Data Processor.Nominally 48 months experience, including 400 operational days offshore as Senior Surveyor, Senior Survey Engineer, Senior Geophysicist or Senior Data Processor#J-18808-Ljbffr
