Job SummaryThis is a physician position and is responsible for applying medical knowledge and skills to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of illnesses for patients within the Digestive Disease - Colorectal Surgery specialty at CCAD. We are looking for a consultant colorectal surgeon with specific focus and expertise in pelvic floor disorders, fecal incontinence, and proctology. This position treats patients directly and/or may make referrals to different members of the health care professional team at CCAD.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMonitors and provides care to patients at CCAD within the Digestive Disease - Colorectal Surgery specialtyPrescribes or administers medication, therapy and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injuryAnalyzes records, reports and test results to diagnose patient's medical conditionInteracts with patient to gather additional history and information about medical conditionExplains procedures and discusses test results or prescribed treatments with patientProvides specific treatments and/or performs operations to treat patient medical conditionsEvaluates patient and records applicable notes about patient's condition for purposes of serving as a record of treatment and/or making a possible referral to another member of the health care medical staff teamLiaisons with other medical and non-medical staff at CCAD to ensure quality patient treatmentPerforms surgical procedures and operations as appropriateSupplies and provides care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive mannerFollows ethical and regulatory guidelinesTakes part in administrative functions that ensure the continued operations of the clinical environment, such as committees, task forces and performance improvement measuresAdheres to individual approved clinical privileges, as well as to all policies and procedures of the Medical StaffEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSPhysicians must hold a qualification classified as Tier 1 or Tier 2, as per the Recognized Specialty Certificate table listed in the Healthcare Professionals Qualification Requirements 2024.Minimum five (5) years experience post qualificationMust hold a valid License/ Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable)Ability to speak and write in English is requiredEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSMD, MBBS, MBChB or equivalent qualification from an accredited InstitutionCompletion of Colorectal Surgery qualification as per the Recognized Specialty Certificate table listed in Healthcare Professionals Qualification Requirements 2024#J-18808-Ljbffr
