Job Description

Job PurposeContribute to the development and implementation of strategic objectives for the adoption of futuristic technologies, specifically in AI domain, in alignment with company vision. Participate and contribute to establishing technology process workflow, technology governance and technology portfolio for the purpose of implementing cost‑effective technologies to achieve business value, 100% HSE, process safety, sustainability and decarbonization goals, and technology transformation towards achieving autonomous operations. Identify and develop value‑adding technology use cases by leading the ideation, technology scouting, assessment, demonstration, piloting, deployment and scale‑up to achieve the efficient implementation of emerging technologies. Contribute to the development of AI, digital and technology capabilities, skills, and awareness in conjunction with the talent management team.Key AccountabilitiesLead the process of idea generation and collection of value‑adding ideas through ideation workshops, turning business challenges and problem statements into use cases.Scout for state‑of‑the‑art technologies that enhance the business value of the company or mitigate operating challenges.Conduct technology assessment by reviewing vendor proposals, developing design basis & success criteria, facilitating risk assessment to de‑risk technology, and integrating contributions from relevant disciplines to select the fit‑for‑purpose technology solution.Maintain dedicated focus on AI technology identification, assessment and deployment to achieve higher levels of autonomous operations.Implement technology governance to drive proof of concepts, including developing acceptance criteria to demonstrate technology performance.Drive and support the piloting and deployment of engineering and digital technology projects to ensure successful implementation in the company assets.Support the development of AI, digital and technology capabilities, skills, and awareness and conduct digital upskilling programs to develop talent at various maturity levels across the company.Contribute to the development of a technology management roadmap that ensures all company innovation strategic goals and objectives are effectively managed.Conduct technology steering committee and sub‑committee meetings periodically and present the company technology portfolio to leadership.Support use‑case governance, change management, communication, portfolio management, value‑metric reporting and measurement; develop the company technology portfolio through continuous tracking of KPIs of technology projects.Coordinate with end‑users and facilitate validation of business value created by deployed technologies and report in the RVT system.Drive assigned research programs in line with technical challenges/opportunities faced by site operations; provide technical support to obtain research proposals and ensure project progress.Identify short, medium, and long‑term partnerships to deliver value from use cases, obtain skills and capabilities, and co‑develop and evaluate new technologies.Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & SkillsBachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.Certification or advanced coursework in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Emerging Technologies is a plus.Minimum 10‑15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on technology and innovation.Proven track record of integrating AI and advanced technologies into large‑scale industrial operations.Experience in setting up and managing technology departments, including team building and resource allocation.Expertise in AI applications, data analytics, and digital transformation strategies.Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in project management and risk assessment.Use‑case portfolio management with activities to support AG achieving strategic targets.Performing portfolio management activities (initiatives scope definition, budgeting, resource planning, impact quantification, funding requests, financial reporting, timeline definition).Identifying technology opportunities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders based on business needs as per the technology map.Production process knowledge.Data analysis & reporting; basic data analysis skills and tools for business decisions.Problem solving & decision making; RCA, critical thinking, and continuous improvements.Communication & collaboration; cross‑functional collaboration and technical reporting.#J-18808-Ljbffr
