Job Description
PURPOSE OF JOB:Reporting to the AVP AML Quality Check & Training the main responsibility of this role is to support the business areas covering the AML monitoring activities for the Group and ensure that efforts are made to align the related policies and procedures with regulatory requirements and applicable laws and regulations.TASKS:Support the AVP AML Quality Check & Training as follows: Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the framework and plan for AML to properly address the compliance needs and requirements in line with laws, rules and regulations that best meet the needs of Group FAB TM Policy and Procedures.Perform quality checks on alerts actioned in the AML monitoring system and identify the need to file internal Suspicious Transactions Reports (STRs).Assess conformance with relevant Group Compliance Policies and Procedures, i.e. Transaction Monitoring Procedures.Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of controls used to mitigate risks.Identify deficiencies and inaccuracies in assessed activities.Provide training to staff on compliance awareness for applicable TM and FCC related procedures.Maintain and build effective relationships with related divisions to achieve effective escalation of issues and manage risk.Assist the AVP AML Quality Check & Training in providing timely and accurate compliance advice on any AML monitoring matters raised by business functions on day‑to‑day operations.Keep abreast of related rules, regulations and best practices pertaining to AML, assess its impact on FAB, and update the AVP AML Quality Check & Training accordingly.Provide timely response for compliance clearance requests.Execute other duties as directed by the AVP AML Quality Check & Training.Qualifications:Bachelors Degree or Higher in Management Banking or Finance, preferably with certification in compliance, AML risk management or internal audit.At least 5 years of business experience, preferably in compliance and/or audit in banks.Excellent understanding of regional laws and applicable international regulations.Excellent knowledge of AML/CTF applied to different business banking functions.Strong interpersonal, people management and facilitation skills.Team player able to meet tight deadlines and manage a challenging workload.Preferably bilingual, fluent in English and Arabic with strong written and verbal skills.Focused on driving tasks to completion with pace while retaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.Discrete and has a sense of integrity, handling highly sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.Remote Work:NoEmployment Type:Full‑time#J-18808-Ljbffr
