Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.About the PositionWynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Special Events Manager to join the resort’s Event Operations team.The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:Develop unique event concepts aligned with brand standards and guest expectations, including galas, cultural showcases, seasonal celebrations, and VIP activationsLead end-to-end planning and execution of special events, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks are metManage cross-functional teams including entertainment, production, culinary, and guest services to deliver seamless eventsSource, negotiate, and manage external vendors for décor, entertainment, AV, and logisticsServe as the on-site lead for special events, ensuring personalized service and memorable experiences for guestsCreate curated events including conception of events based on relevance, ticketed packages, event identity, marketing, sales and building the event aesthetics, and customer journey.Oversee event budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-effective solutions without compromising qualityEnsure all events adhere to safety regulations, licensing requirements, and internal policiesConduct debriefs, gather feedback, and prepare performance reports to inform future planningStay ahead of industry trends and incorporate fresh ideas to elevate the resort’s event offeringsAbout YouThe ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:Minimum 5–7 years of experience in luxury event management, hospitality, or entertainment productionBackground in hotel or events companies with exposure to themed events and the gaming industryProven success in executing high-impact events with complex logistics and diverse stakeholder groupsStrong creative vision and ability to translate concepts into operational plansExcellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skillsProficiency in event planning software, Microsoft Office Suite, and design/diagramming tools (e.g., Social Tables, CAD, Delphi)Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationshipsAbout Wynn Al Marjan Island’s BenefitsWe offer an attractive salary, paid in Dirhams (AED), the local currency of the UAE.
