We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.ResponsibilitiesAs a Solution Architect you’ll be working to deliver solution designs and define engineering methods of our client's core mission platforms (typically in compute/ storage networking domains), shaping innovative solutions to problems, underpinned by robust delivery and engineering methods to deliver cutting edge capabilities that are not only essential to their business and they’ll love to use. You’ll never get bored, with no two projects being the same, using your experience to assure our deliveries.Your experience will cover a wide range of software design, infrastructure, delivery methods and engineering approaches, although you won’t be expected to be an expert in them all. Knowing enough to make informed decisions on the best approach to follow is expected, as well as recognising when to use Waterfall vs Agile, PaaS vs IaaS Vs On-prem or proof of concepts vs proven approaches. You’ll be empowered to make decisions but will be part of a community of solution architects and engineers to bounce ideas off and be supported.We are looking experienced solution architects who have experience:Shaping and driving solution thinking for complex bids and delivery engagements (contracts worth SARmillion+, and overall team sizes of more than 20).Shaping solution designs following a structured methodology as appropriate to the project.Defining system requirements for a software solution to support a scalable and resilient application.Overseeing the implementation of the design in collaboration with other team members such as Application, Data and Security Architects.Ensuring the design meets key Functional and in particular Non-Functional requirements, enabling through life scenarios of the solution to be satisfied.Working with technical design authorities to ensure that they have a clear understanding of architecture and design proposals at an appropriate level.Working with Engineering teams to promote good practice in engineering methods, e.g. development, automation and testing.Retaining overall ownership of the solution through delivery and transition into operation.Directing estimation efforts to develop an understanding of potential solution costs and delivery timescales.Job RequirementsEducation & Professional Qualifications· University Degree in relevant IT subject or related Business degree is essential.· Must be able to obtain Saudi Council of Engineers membership. Working towards Charter Engineer Status within an internationally recognized Professional Institution.· Experience in the application of TOGAF, ZACHMAN, Archimate standards and TOGAF/ITIL· Must be able to obtain SC Clearance.Knowledge & Experience· 12+ years of experience in supporting the delivery of medium sized projects. Experience in Digital Skillsets (i.e. Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Development, Testing, Database & System Administration, Service Delivery, Product Management, Application Support, IT Management, Security, Information Management).· Experience in the design and development in 2 or more of the following categories and a few of the technologies outlined below:o Infrastructure: MS Windows Server architecture, Active Directory structures, including DNS, Domain, Account Management, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP), Exchange server, SharePoint, SCOM, SCCM, VMware/ESXi technologies, Windows OS, Linux, Nutanix HCI, Cisco UCS systems, HPE ProLiant DL series serverso Networking: Layer 2/3, EIGRP, DMVPN, VLANs, IP Sub-netting, Data center Networks, Nexus 9k/7k/5k) in Cisco, Juniper, Aruba WiFi, SD-WAN, load-balancing, data centre operations, monitoring (i.e. PRTG, SolarWinds) patching and restore of services.o Security Environments: Paloalto/Juniper Firewalls, McAfee anti-virus, Fire-eye, RSA/SecureID, Pulse secure VPN, Site-to-Site encryption technologies, Cisco Identity Services Engine, logging and analysis tools (e.g. S
