The company currently employs a workforce of approximately 4,000 in the Middle East, and a total of 10,000 worldwide.ResponsibilitiesManage the technical aspects, concept development, and coordination with site teams and project consultants for permanent works structural design packages under the supervision of Senior Project Managers.Manage the technical aspects, concept development, and coordination with site teams and project consultants for temporary works structural design packages under the supervision of Senior Project Managers.Provide support to the Tender Department (under the guidance of Senior Project Managers) by supplying necessary information such as quantities, ratios, design planning, consultant scope of work, feedback on FEED design, technical bidding strategies, risks and opportunities, and permitting details for both permanent and temporary works.Define basic design planning steps and finalize the design schedule under the supervision of Senior Project Managers.Produce design reports for complex topics based on calculations performed using various FEM tools, including non-linear and time-dependent analyses.Collaborate with site execution teams and department heads to develop valid, complete, and innovative technical solutions that ensure safe and timely execution.Demonstrate mastery of design and building codes (ACI, Eurocode, British Standards) and relevant scientific literature.Possess strong communication skills to actively participate in or lead technical meetings with site teams and project consultants, and provide meeting minutes and summaries to Senior Project Managers.Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure projects meet design specifications and safety standards.Mentor and train junior engineers and designers.Skills And CompetenciesProficient in steel and concrete design topics.Skilled in AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS, and IDEA StatiCa.Strong team player with a collaborative mindsetExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsHigh attention to detail and precisionPositive attitude with a strong work ethicAutonomous, accountable, and communicativeQualificationsHolds a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or an equivalent qualificationMinimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering.Experienced in temporary works such as tower crane foundations, building anchors, precast lifting, and temporary steel platforms.Design experience includes buildings, stadiums, sewage treatment plants, and marine works (e.g., jetties).Prior experience in the Middle East is highly preferredAdditional InformationSix Construct is guided by our core values of respect, excellence, co-creation, passion, and unity.
