SENIOR RADIATION THERAPIST

<div><p>Organizesand assists with all the activities for the assigned section. Ensures that thehighest possible professional and clinical standards are met according todepartmental procedures and policies.</p><h3>Essential Responsibilities and Duties</h3><ol><li>1. Liaises with Physicians, MedicalPhysicists, Supervisors, Head Nurse, and Radiation Therapists to schedulepatients.</li><li>2. Maintains all necessary supplies andmaterials. Ensures that equipment is functioning properly and safety standardsare maintained at all times.</li><li>3. Ensures optimum utilization of equipmentand maximum use of resources.</li><li>4. Maintains effective and efficientcommunication between staff group within and outside of the Department.</li><li>5. Assists with departmental and HospitalPerformance Improvement (PI) Plan.</li><li>6. Evaluates quality assurance and qualitycontrol data and maintains the required records.</li><li>7. Enhances professional growth and developmentthrough continuing education.</li><li>8. Assists with training and orientation ofnew employees.</li><li>9. Demonstrates higher level to treat or imageown specialist workload of patients and maintain relevant documents/e-charting.</li><li>10. Rotates between areas as experienced practitioner.</li><li>11. Participates in departmental projects orteaching sessions.</li><li>12. Follows all Hospital related Policies andProcedures.</li><li>13. Participates in self and others’ education,training and development, as applicable.</li><li>14. Performs other relatedduties as assigned.</li></ol><h3>Education</h3><p>Master’s,Bachelor’s, or Associate Degree/Diploma in Radiation Therapy or other relateddisciplines is required.</p><h3>Experience Required</h3><p>Grade 09: Two (2) years of related experience as a Radiation Therapist with Master’s, or four (4) years with Bachelor’s is required. Grade 10: Four (4) years of experience as a Senior Radiation Therapist at KFSH&RC, or (grade 09) related experience is required. Average annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4). Fifty (50) hours of cumulative continued medical education [CME].</p><h3>Other Requirements(Certificates)</h3><ul><li>Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.</li><li>License and registration as a Radiation Therapist is required.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
