Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel- Crypto & Blockchain ExperienceLocation: Media City. DubaiDepartment: Legal / ComplianceAbout the JobWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Legal Counsel to join our growing team in Dubai. This role will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support across corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters, with a strong focus on the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. The successful candidate will advise on UAE law, international legal frameworks, and crypto‑related regulations to support the company’s operations and global expansion.Job Responsibilities• Provide legal advice and recommendations: Offer legal advice and recommendations on matters involving local UAE law , international law, and cryptocurrency‑specific laws and regulations, and provide legal advice and solutions on the legal feasibility of the company's operations in new countries.• Contract review and drafting: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, including those specific to encryption and blockchain, to mitigate risk and protect company interests.• Compliance and Regulatory Governance: Provide advice and suggestions for the company’s operations in the UAE and its international expansion and development. In particular, it is necessary to stay informed about the latest developments in the field of cryptocurrency and blockchain compliance to ensure adherence to relevant industry standards.• Risk Management: Identify and manage legal risks specific to the crypto industry, and provide proactive solutions to protect company interests.• Dispute Resolution: Oversee dispute resolution and provide advice on dispute resolution, including litigation, mediation and arbitration, and coordinate with external legal counsel as needed.• Intellectual Property: Protecting the company’s intellectual property and assisting in the management of intellectual property‑related matters, especially those related to digital assets and blockchain technology.• Corporate Governance: Support organizations in maintaining best practices for corporate governance, including compliance with local and international policies, especially those related to crypto and digital asset trading.• Training and Education: Educate and train internal stakeholders on relevant legal issues, policies, and procedures, especially regarding cryptocurrency compliance and risks.Job Qualifications and RequirementsEducation: Bachelor of Laws degree or above; Master’s degree or equivalent qualifications are preferred.Experience: At least 3 years of legal work experience, specializing in UAE law and common law, preferably in the cryptocurrency or blockchain industry or the broader fintech industry.Qualifications: Priority will be given to candidates who have obtained a lawyer's license in the UAE or countries with common law legal systems.KnowledgeHas in-depth knowledge of UAE company law, commercial law, labor law, contract law, and criminal law.Familiar with international trade law, dispute resolution, and cross‑border regulatory compliance.Expertise in cryptocurrency and blockchain regulations, compliance requirements, and industry practices.SkillsExcellent drafting and negotiation skills.Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills enable one to clearly communicate complex legal matters.Able to manage multiple projects and effectively prioritize them.LanguageFluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential; those fluent in Arabic and Chinese will be given top priority.• Personal traits: detail‑oriented, proactive, ethical, able to work independently and collaboratively, and adaptable to a fast‑paced work environment.If you are a motivated legal professional who is passionate about the evolving digital assets and blockchain landscape, apply now and be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of the fintech industry.#J-18808-Ljbffr
