This role is pivotal in integrating and enhancing international signaling network systems within Etisalat’s core infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and readiness for high-capacity events.Detailed Job DescriptionAs a Senior Engineer, you will lead technical planning and capacity management for international signaling and voice networks. You will prepare technical specifications, analyze KPIs, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to deliver robust solutions. This position involves designing reliable signaling architectures, managing IGW technologies, and ensuring network security and performance for mission‑critical services.Key ResponsibilitiesIntegrate international signaling network core equipment and enhancements into Etisalat’s core structurePrepare technical specifications for signaling and voice network equipmentAnalyze KPIs for fixed core systems and ensure optimal performanceInterface with vendors, internal teams, and consultants to resolve IGW planning challengesParticipate in tendering and negotiations for technical upgradesStay updated on IGW technologies and industry developmentsDesign and plan international control plane signaling solutions with redundancy and reliabilityDimension network nodes (SoftSwitches, Media Gateways, Signaling Gateways) to meet capacity requirementsCoordinate with Network Security for robust security implementationsCollaborate with Carrier and Wholesale teams for capacity forecasting and planningRequired Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent4–6 years of experience in Fixed Core Planning at Senior Engineer levelRelevant professional training, certification, or membership (mandatory)Strong knowledge of telecom engineering principles and Etisalat products/servicesExcellent project management, budgeting, and technical evaluation skillsNice-to-Have SkillsExperience with international signaling protocols and IGW technologiesFamiliarity with SIP Session Border Controllers, STPs, Diameter Session RoutersAdvanced knowledge of network security and redundancy planningStrong vendor negotiation and tendering experienceAbility to manage performance reporting and operational analysisRecruitment Pro TipHighlight your expertise in signaling network planning and capacity management, along with any certifications in telecom engineering.
