Senior Electrical Engineer (ETAP)

Job Title: Senior Electrical EngineerLocation: Doha, QatarJob SummaryDeliver electrical engineering design and execution across study, FEED, EPC, and PMC scopes for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects. Responsible for producing, reviewing, and approving electrical deliverables in line with project execution plans, safety requirements, quality standards, and project schedules.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce and review electrical engineering deliverables with minimal supervisionDevelop and manage electrical design basis, specifications, and engineering standardsPrepare SLDs, protection and metering schemes, load schedules, and design calculationsPerform cable sizing, load analysis, equipment sizing, and battery calculationsCarry out and review power system studies including:Short circuit analysisLoad flow studiesMotor starting analysisHarmonic and transient studiesDevelop electrical layouts including equipment, cable routing, tray, duct, and trench layoutsPrepare lighting, earthing, and lightning protection designsReview vendor documentation, quotations, and technical evaluationsPrepare material take-offs and technical enquiry packages for HV/LV equipmentParticipate in design reviews, project audits, and vendor meetingsConduct site surveys, brownfield assessments, and prepare survey reportsSupport engineering coordination across disciplines and with clients/vendorsEnsure compliance with international codes, standards, and project requirementsIdentify and manage technical and commercial risks within assigned scopeMay act as Lead Engineer on small to medium projects, including supervision of junior staffTechnical SkillsETAP (including protection coordination, harmonic, arc flash, transient studies)SKM or SPELAVEVA Electrical / E3D ElectricalPSCAD (advantageous)Experience RequirementsMinimum 10 years of relevant electrical engineering experienceStrong background in oil & gas projects (onshore and offshore)Experience across greenfield and brownfield projectsExposure to Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, and PMC phasesExperience with offshore upstream projects preferredQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical EngineeringMaster’s in Power Systems Engineering is an advantageRegistered Engineer in Qatar (Grade A) preferredAlternatively, Chartered Engineer status required if not registered locallyKey CompetenciesStrong technical leadership and delivery capabilityAbility to work independently with minimal guidanceStrong communication and coordination skillsAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and project interfacesStrong analytical and problem-solving mindsetCustomer-focused with ability to meet project objectives#J-18808-Ljbffr
