Senior Design Engineer (Central)

<div><h3>Job Description</h3><p>In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the design management of water, wastewater treatment, pumping stations, and desalination projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure design deliverables are completed on time, meet client requirements, and align with overall project objectives.</p><p>You will coordinate with design consultants and internal teams, monitor progress, and review technical submissions to ensure quality and compliance. The role also involves analyzing design plans, supporting decision-making through technical evaluations, and contributing to sustainability initiatives within the design process.</p><p>Additionally, you will assist in pre‑ and post‑contract activities, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and provide regular updates and reports to project management and clients, ensuring all work adheres to company standards and industry best practices.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Senior Design Engineer is required to combine their technical experience and knowledge for the management of Water / Wastewater Treatment Plant, pumping stations and desalination plant design by the client’s design consultants for Regional Infrastructure Water Projects</li><li>Support the Project Manager in managing and delivering the design in accordance with the Program and the requirements of the client.</li><li>Support managing the team of design engineers/consultants.</li><li>Coordinate and monitor the development of the design consultant’s planned activities and provide progress reports to Design Project Management, highlighting performance to plan.</li><li>Plan and organize the review of the design consultant’s deliverables, interfacing with subject matter experts and design review teams.</li><li>Perform analysis on design plans.</li><li>Review analysis findings for technical and business reports.</li><li>Set up green initiatives in design processes.</li><li>Specify proper analytical methods which support decision‑making.</li><li>Provide quality assessment reports to Project Management and the client.</li><li>Assist the Contracts Department and Construction teams in pre‑construction and post contract award activities.</li><li>Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor / Master of engineering or from an accredited university.</li><li>Minimum 15 years’ experience after graduation</li><li>Minimum of 10 years of design experience related to water and wastewater projects</li><li>Knowledge of water and wastewater master plan</li><li>Ability to review and approve design related to water and wastewater works.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
