Senior Data Migration Engineer - KSA

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Engineer to design and execute large-scale database migration pipelines from MS SQL and PostgreSQL environments into a unified PostgreSQL architecture. The role requires strong expertise in data consistency, performance optimization, and production-grade migration execution. The position is based in Saudi Arabia. We are particularly open to applications from talented developers in Pakistan, provided they are willing and prepared to relocate to KSA. Candidates with prior knowledge or hands-on experience of the Saudi Arabian IT environment, business ecosystem, or industry requirements will be given special consideration, as such familiarity provides an added advantage in adapting quickly to the work culture and project expectations.ResponsibilitiesBuild automated bulk migration pipelines (MS SQL + Postgres → unified Postgres)Implement deterministic delta extraction logicDevelop idempotent and restartable migration scriptsEnsure referential integrity and data consistencyBenchmark migration performance to validate cutover window feasibilityImplement reconciliation and validation reportingSupport rehearsal and production cutover executionQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)4–7+ years of experience in database engineering or data migration rolesDemonstrated experience handling large-scale production data migrationsExperience working with mission-critical systems and high data volumesExperience in banking, fintech, or other regulated environmentsFamiliarity with data validation frameworks and reconciliation techniquesExperience with performance tuning and query optimizationExposure to ETL/ELT tools and migration frameworksRequired SkillsStrong hands-on MS SQL and Postgres expertiseProven experience executing production-grade data migrationsStrong scripting capability (Python preferred)Experience handling transactional data and parent-child table relationshipsExperience in banking or regulated environments preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
