Senior Cathodic Protection EngineerPosition SummaryKBR is seeking a highly skilled Cathodic Protection Engineer who will be based in the KBR Abu Dhabi Operating Center, UAE. The candidate will be part of a growing team of Materials & Corrosion Engineers that is supporting various Oil & Gas projects in the Middle East & Africa Region.The candidate should have proven CP Materials & Corrosion experience in Greenfield and Brownfield Engineering Projects. Good knowledge and understanding of Cathodic Protection and Corrosion deliverables such as CP System Design Basis Material Selection, CP Scope of Work, Vendor Document Reviews, CP System Design Material Take Offs and CP Design Report.Key Skills & Technical CompetenciesBSc. / Degree in Materials, Metallurgy, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.NACE/AMPP Cathodic Protection (CP) Level 3 Certification (minimum) is required.Experience in developing CP Scope of Work Design Reports & Calculations, CP General Arrangement Drawings and layout plans.Experience and knowledge in Materials & Corrosion deliverables in FEED & Detailed Engineering Design Phases.Experience in developing and/or reviewing CP Procedures such as DCVG, CIPS, CP Commissioning etc.Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas Engineering Projects with demonstrable CP experience.Knowledge of Materials & Corrosion deliverables in FEED & Detailed Engineering Design Phases will be an advantage.Good skills in writing comprehensive technical reports, presentation, communication and collaboration with various disciplines.Familiar with relevant industry codes, standards and recommended practices.Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare Cathodic Protection Scope of Work/Design Philosophy and Material Take Offs.Prepare Cathodic Protection Design Reports and Design Calculations.Carry out CP Vendor Document Reviews.Support Materials & Corrosion deliverables such as Material Selection Philosophies and Corrosion Control Documents.Produce calculations and technical reports as per project requirements.Conduct adequacy studies of the existing Cathodic Protection Systems.Application and Knowledge of the relevant Industry Standards/Recommended Practices for Cathodic Protection.Keep abreast with the latest trends and advancements in cathodic protection and corrosion engineering, proactively integrating new technologies and methods into design processes.Experience RequiredMinimum 15 years of Cathodic Protection and Corrosion Engineering experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.Experience in Engineering Design and EPC.Client‑facing detailed technical reports and technical presentations.Key RelationshipsDepartment Manager Materials & Corrosion EngineeringEngineering and Project ManagersMaterials and Corrosion EngineersOther disciplines (Mechanical, Piping, Process, etc.)MandatoryBachelors degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.What We OfferOpportunities for professional development and career advancement.Engaging and collaborative work environment with a commitment to safety and sustainability.Access to KBR online learning which enables you to grow, develop and advance your skillset.Interested and suitable candidates please apply for the role.
