Our mission is to deliver high-performance solar and storage solutions that set new standards for reliability, efficiency, and long‑term value across the Middle East.The RoleWe are seeking a technically proficient Senior BESS Applications / Sales Engineer to support our utility‑scale sales team in the UAE. In this role, you will act as the technical bridge between our clients (developers, IPPs, EPCs, and consultants) and our internal engineering teams. You will be responsible for designing optimized solar‑plus‑storage solutions, modeling system performance, and providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle to secure multi‑megawatt contracts.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support & System DesignProvide pre‑sales technical support for utility‑scale solar PV projects incorporating Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).Design and optimise solar‑plus‑storage solutions, including system architecture, component selection, and energy management strategies.Develop technical proposals, single‑line diagrams, and performance models to support client presentations and tender submissions.Commercial SupportCollaborate with the Sales Manager to identify and pursue BESS opportunities within the UAE market.Prepare techno‑commercial proposals, including system sizing, cost estimations, and value engineering recommendations.Support contract negotiations by providing technical clarifications and ensuring alignment between client requirements and proposed solutions.Performance Modeling & AnalysisUtilise industry‑standard software (e.g. PVsyst, HOMER, MATLAB) to model energy yield, battery degradation, and project economics (LCOE, LCOS).Analyse grid connection requirements, dispatch strategies, and regulatory frameworks affecting storage deployment in the UAE.Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal system configurations.Stakeholder EngagementServe as the technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and system integrators throughout the sales cycle.Present technical solutions to key stakeholders, including developers, IPPs, utilities (DEWA, ADWEA), and investment committees.Represent the company at industry conferences, technical forums, and client meetings across the region.Cross‑Functional CollaborationWork closely with the global engineering, product management and logistics teams to ensure seamless project execution.Provide feedback to product development teams on market requirements, technical trends and client feedback.RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a technical sales, applications engineering or system design role within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on BESS and/or utility‑scale solar PV.Technical Skills:Strong understanding of BESS components (lithium‑ion batteries, inverters, EMS, safety systems) and system integration.Proficiency in PVsyst, HOMER, AutoCAD and other relevant design and modelling tools.Knowledge of grid interconnection standards, codes and regulatory requirements in the UAE.Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the UAE renewable energy landscape, including key developers, IPPs, EPCs and utilities.Soft Skills: Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear commercial value propositions.Languages: Fluency in English is required.
