Senior Backend Developer

<div><p>A UK-based company is hiring a skilled<b>Backend</b>.<b>NET Developer</b>to join our team and play a key role in delivering a high-impact project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience integrating complex back-end functionality with front-end systems.</p><p>You will work closely with the Head of Development and collaborate with a front-end developer to bring this project to life. A functional specification and project requirements will be provided, but you will be responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions that meet business needs.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Integrate front-end components into<b>Umbraco CMS</b></li><li>Build and customize<b>back-office editors</b>for modules</li><li>Enhance<b>back-office UX</b>to ensure ease of use for content editors</li><li>Create<b>templates, configuration options, and theming capabilities</b>for components</li><li>Develop and integrate<b>RESTful APIs</b>and handle third-party integrations (e.g., CRMs, payment gateways, marketing tools)</li><li>Implement<b>job search functionality</b>within the system</li><li>Optimize performance, scalability, and security</li><li>Collaborate in an<b>Agile/Scrum environment</b>to deliver features iteratively</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li><b>Umbraco CMS (v8/9/10+)</b>: custom development, templates, back-office extensions; familiarity with Umbraco APIs, content models, and package integration</li><li><b>Microsoft .NET&C#</b>: ASP.NET Core / .NET Framework, C#, Razor, Visual Studio; strong LINQ skills</li><li><b>Database</b>: Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization</li><li><b>Source Control&Delivery</b>: Git (Beanstalk/SmartGit or equivalent), CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), IIS config&URL rewrite</li><li><b>Engineering Foundations</b>: MVC architecture; design patterns (DI, Repository, SOLID); performance optimization, caching, and security best practices</li><li><b>Collaboration&Delivery</b>: clear communication, strong debugging/problem-solving, ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions; Agile/Scrum experience</li></ul><h3>Preferred</h3><ul><li>Deploying<b>Umbraco on Azure</b>(App Services, SQL, Blob Storage)</li><li>Experience with<b>headless CMS</b>(Umbraco Heartcore)</li><li><b>SEO</b>and<b>accessibility</b>best practices</li><li>Professional growth opportunities with access to training and certifications</li><li>Collaborative and innovative team culture with direct impact on projects</li><li>Work with a forward-thinking UK-based company in the employer marketing space</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
