Senior Associate - Non-contentious ConstructionThe RoleWe are looking for a Senior Associate to join our market leading MEA Projects & Construction team to work on a range of high value and complex construction projects and contractual issues for clients across diverse sectors, predominantly located within the UAE.ResponsibilitiesLead, manage and be heavily involved in all aspects of matters allowing you to make a significant contribution to the outcome of complex international construction negotiation support and advising as “Project Counsel” on commercial, legal and contractual issues that arise during the lifecycle of a construction project.Draft, negotiate and advise on international construction contracts and supporting documentation.Collaborate with partners and senior leadership to develop client relationships, business opportunities and contract solutions.QualificationsExcellent background in high value, complex construction contract management and negotiation support.Advanced knowledge and experience of the laws of the UAE and the DIFC.Superb drafting skills (including pleadings, witness statements and legal opinions).Strong academic credentials, self‑driven with excellent verbal and written communications skills.Strong time‑management skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as ability to work independently.Commercial awareness and confidence in building rapport with clients to gain a better understanding of their business needs.Ability to lead, delegate and foster a positive team atmosphere.BenefitsHealthcare, retirement planning and wellbeing initiatives.Opportunities to advance professionally and personally within a leading international law firm.Clyde & Co is an equal opportunities employer.
