Senior Architect - Saudi Arabia - Dammam

We are currently searching for a Senior Architect to join our team in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This position is based in Dammam. The correct individual will have a minimum of 15 years experience in a relevant industry with either a contractor or engineering consultancy. You must also hold a BA/BSc or MARCH/MA/MSc in Architecture.The Architect role on the project will cover all areas of the development and is key to ensuring that all architectural, specialist fit‑out & interior aspects of the contractor’s submissions, shop drawings, and interdisciplinary coordination processes are dealt with in line with the construction programme and specifications.The successful candidate will report both to the Client’s Representative and the Buro Happold Project Director. The successful candidate will have excellent technical and communication skills, have a minimum of 15 years’ post‑graduate construction experience, of which a minimum of 5 years should be demonstrable in the Middle East and/or the design and delivery of similar technical facilities.ResponsibilitiesLiaise with SAPMT and Buro Happold discipline leads to assist with the planning, coordination and execution of architectural worksReview the contractor’s submissions including: method statements, procurement plans, technical submissions, specifications, schedules, technical queries, shop drawings, specialist designs, fabrication drawings, and technical studiesAssist SAPMT to monitor Contractor & Specialist Sub Contractor progressProvide support to SAPMT and site engineering inspectors to ensure technical compliance with the approved contract specifications, working practices, and drawingsLiaise where necessary with & prepare submissions for other Saudi Aramco departments involved in the supervision of the project, including Loss Prevention, Consultancy Services, and Quality ControlAttend weekly progress, quality and coordination meetingsEnsure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.Preparation and contribution to design development reports.Contribute to the coordination with the other disciplines within the practice.About The CompanyBuro Happold aims to produce high quality engineering design in concept, in detail and in execution, on time, to programme and delivering excellent value for money.Our distinctive culture and ethos is still based on the same principles of care, value and elegance that were established when the practice was founded.Our engineering approach is holistic, combining different disciplines in one, integrated team.
