Senior AP Accountant

Via Medica in Association with International SOS is looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to join our Finance team in the UAE. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate AP operations, timely payments, and smooth month-end close, while supporting service quality KPIs and strategic finance objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure accurate posting of trade and non-trade payables to correct GLs and analytical dimensionsReview journals prepared by Junior AP Accountants prior to system postingProcess periodic and ad hoc payments with zero tolerance for errors or duplicate paymentsReconcile vendor statements, aged balances, and AP accountsManage payroll journal postings and reconcile salary and payroll-related accrualsSupport month-end close activities in coordination with regional finance teamsAct as liaison between Finance and HR for payroll-related mattersHandle AP queries from internal and external stakeholders promptlyWork closely with Treasury and CFO on banking, cash flow, and reportingSupport peers and provide guidance to junior team members as neededRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalentMinimum 8 years of experience in Accounting / Accounts PayablePrior experience managing or supervising AP Officers or Junior AccountantsStrong understanding of P2P / PTP processesExperience in a fast-paced, high-volume MNC environment is an advantageWorking knowledge of SAP, SUN, or Oracle accounting systemsAdvanced Excel skills (including XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables)Strong attention to detail, high integrity, and ability to meet tight deadlinesSalary and benefits will be discussed during the initial assessment.
