Senior Accountant

Role: Senior Accountant – Group FinanceLocation: Mussafah, Abu DhabiReports To: General ManagerJob SummaryThe Senior Accountant will manage accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and payment administration across the company's divisions including oilfield services operations, construction projects, and property management. The role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations, and supports management with financial reporting and cashflow monitoring. Candidates must currently be based in the UAE and preferably in Abu Dhabi, with the ability to join immediately through local transfer.Key Responsibilities1. Financial Accounting & ReportingMaintain accurate books of accounts for all company divisionsPrepare monthly management accounts including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash FlowMaintain general ledger and trial balancePerform monthly bank reconciliationsSupport management with financial analysis and reporting2. Accounts Payable & Payment AdministrationMaintain vendor records and accounts payable schedulesPrepare vendor payment schedules based on company payment cycleProcess vendor payments after management approvalMaintain cheque registers and banking recordsMonitor accounts payable aging3. Accounts ReceivableTrack customer invoicing and receivablesMonitor receivable aging and follow up on collectionsCoordinate with operations for job completion and invoicing4. Construction / Project AccountingMonitor project budgets and construction costsVerify subcontractor and supplier invoices against project progressMaintain project-wise cost tracking and financial reportingSupport project managers with financial data and cost control5. Property Management AccountingMaintain financial records for rental income and tenant paymentsTrack tenant invoices, collections, and depositsMonitor property maintenance expenses and service provider paymentsPrepare property-wise income and expense reports6. Tax Compliance (UAE)Prepare and file VAT returnsMaintain VAT reconciliation schedulesSupport corporate tax compliance and reportingMaintain proper tax documentation and records7. Audit & Financial CompliancePrepare schedules and working papers for annual auditsLiaise with external auditors during audit reviewsMaintain proper documentation of financial transactions8. Cashflow MonitoringPrepare weekly cashflow reports including:Bank balancesReceivable agingPayable obligationsUpcoming payment commitmentsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance requiredMinimum 8 years total accounting experienceAt least 2–3 years experience in Real Estate or Construction sectorExperience in monthly closing and financial reportingExperience in cashflow monitoringPrior experience with ERPSkillsStrong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate TaxStrong financial reporting and Excel skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize work effectivelyAdditional RequirementsMust be currently based in the UAE (Abu Dhabi preferred)Must be able to join immediately with local transferSalaryAED 8,000 – 11,000 per month (dependent on experience)#J-18808-Ljbffr
