Science HOD (British Curriculum)

A British curriculum school in Dubai is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Head of Department (Science) to join its Academic Leadership Team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional subject knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of improving teaching and learning outcomes. A minimum of three years’ experience in an academic leadership role within a British Curriculum school in the UAE is required.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with teachers to enhance subject knowledge, pedagogy, and instructional practices to improve student outcomesLead and contribute effectively to departmental and whole-school planningCollaborate with senior leadership to support and raise academic standardsEnsure teaching practices align with the UAE framework for teaching and learning, maintaining a minimum standard of “good” in all lessonsMonitor, evaluate, and support teaching quality within the departmentUndertake other duties related to departmental leadership as requiredQualifications & RequirementsMaster of Science (Chemistry or Physics)Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is an advantage (Distance learning or open university degrees will not be considered)Strong command of the English language (spoken and written)Must be currently available in the UAE#J-18808-Ljbffr
