School Counsellor

Job Brief:We are looking for a professional School Counselor to help students prepare for academic achievement, ensure career readiness and develop personal or social competencies through a comprehensive, preventive and developmental counseling program. The goal is to ensure that students will become productive and well-adjusted adults.Responsibilities:Guide the development and implement a competitive school counseling program that focuses on and promotes students’ successValue and respond to the diversity and individual differences of studentsEnsure equitable access to opportunities and rigorous curriculum for all studentsProvide direct support services through structured conventionsEvaluate areas of strength and advocate studentsProvide group or individual responsive servicesCollaborate and consult with parents, teachers, community organisations and other stakeholdersPerform assessments, interpret tests and study student recordsGather and analyse data to measure resultsComplete regular reports on progressRequirements:Proven working experience in school counselingIntegrity and professionalismAdvocacy skillsAbility to respond effectively to the needs of a diverse student poolWorking knowledge of various counseling models, practices and resourcesEngaging interpersonal skills and excellent communication skillsAbility to collect and analyse dataComputer literacySound judgement and emotional intelligenceMaster degree in Psychology/School Counseling#J-18808-Ljbffr
