Here, your performance is valued, your growth is prioritized, and your contributions make a meaningful impact every day.</p><p>As a Remote Medical Insurance Follow-Up Representative – Hospice , you'll play a critical role in managing outstanding accounts receivable by pursuing timely and accurate payment from insurance carriers and/or patients . The role involves investigating unpaid claims, re solving denials, and maintaining detailed documentation to reduce aged accounts and improve cash flow for healthcare organization . Your diligence in resolving claims directly supports providers’ , overall financial health, creating a ripple effect of positive outcomes.</p><h3>What You'll Do:</h3><ul><li>Follow-Up with hospice Insurance Carriers to determine reason for claims denial and work to resolve claim for payment.</li><li>Resolve hospice insurance denials and file appeals with government and commercial carriers.</li><li>Report unusual accounts, account problems and workflow issues promptly to manager. Process hospice claims, payments, adjustments, denials, and unpaid insurance balances.</li><li>Stay up to date on hospice contract, regulation, procedure, and other changes affecting the department.</li><li>Analyze the unpaid hospice claims and denials and identify/investigate the reasons for nonpayment and which action is needed to resolve timely.</li><li>Serve as a liaison with insurance companies, third party payors, and administrative personnel Provide accurate account maintenance and documentation.</li><li>Use and demonstrate understanding of applicable computer systems, including system reports and security procedures.</li><li>Work effectively with other staff members to accomplish work and departmental goals.</li><li>Perform various collection actions including possibly contacting patients by phone, updating insurance information, and follow through on insurance processes.</li><li>Adhere to applicable hospice policies, core services/room and board billing regulations, departmental practices, and 3rd party hospice requirements.</li><li>Operate within the guidelines of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and any other applicable Federal or state laws and company policies.</li><li>Demonstrate positive and professional communication skills.</li><li>Perform other work duties as assigned.</li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For:</h3><ul><li>High School Diploma required, AA+ preferred.</li><li>3-5 years of insurance follow-up and or billing experience in a hospice related setting is required.</li><li>Experience with filing UB-04 and HCFA 1500 claim form for Hospice services required.</li><li>Experience in utilizing add on software such as: Change Healthcare, US Bank, SSI, IDX/Centricity, Epic, FastTrack, Meditech, Cerner, and various other systems.</li><li>Thorough understanding of hospice billing requirements, CPT, DRG, HCPC, Procedure and Revenue codes, modifiers, hospice bill types and their effect on reimbursement</li><li>Results-Oriented</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to handle and maintain confidential information</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.</li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively with team to ensure project deadlines are met.</li></ul><h3>Why You'll Love RSi:</h3><ul><li>Competitive pay with ample opportunities for professional growth.</li><li>Fully remote position with a stable Monday–Friday schedule.</li><li>Collaborative, performance-driven environment with expert leadership.</li><li>Mission-driven work supporting essential healthcare services.</li><li>Recognition as a nationally respected leader in healthcare revenue management.</li></ul><h3>Physical Requirements:</h3><ul><li>Comfortable working at a computer for extended periods.</li><li>Ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 15 pounds.</li></ul><h3>What to Expect When You Apply:</h3><p>Our hiring process is designed to find exceptional candidates.
