Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance construction and engineering projects you will play a crucial role in managing costs contracts and commercial aspects of our operations.ResponsibilitiesAdministrate and implementchange control including the administration of Works Order Contract Worksand Purchase OrdersSupport the Project Manager and Division Director in preparing and submitting SubContractor Payment Certificates Internal & External Forecasting and AccrualsMaintain a database of accredited subcontractors and advise on procurement strategyManage the pursuit of Green Claim income liaising with specialist legal representatives and loss adjustersEnsure compliance with statutory legislation and internal policies related to Commercial processesPrepare detailed reports on project costs budgets and financial forecastsSupport the Commercial Manager in achieving commercially driven objectives and monitoring Key Performance IndicatorsPromote continual improvement within the organization and implement effective corrective and preventive measuresAdvise colleagues from other departments on Commercial issues relevant to their workEnsure effective control and evaluation of key suppliers and subcontractorsConduct site visits as necessary to assess project progress and costsQualificationsBachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Commercial Management or a related fieldProfessional certification such as MRICS or MCInstCES is highly desirableProven experience in quantity surveying preferably in infrastructure maintenance projectsStrong knowledge of contract management procurement options and risk management processesExcellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholdersProficient in Microsoft Office suite especially Excel and familiarity with specialized quantity surveying softwareDemonstrated ability to work independently meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen eye for detailExperience in bidding processes and proposal preparationWorking experience in construction estimation software (CCS Candy)Knowledge of UAE construction industry standards practices and local building codes in Abu DhabiPRINCE2 Accreditation is advantageousAbility to adapt to new ideas and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic work environmentStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyConduct site visits and work flexibly when requiredRemote WorkNoEmployment TypeFulltime#J-18808-Ljbffr
