QC Piping Inspector (Commissioning)

The role involves inspection and verification of piping systems ensuring full compliance with project specifications, industry codes and client requirements throughout installation, testing and commissioning phases.Key Responsibilities:Review and verify P&IDs isometrics and test packages against installed piping systems.Inspect pipe routing, size, material grade, orientation and overall installation accuracy.Check pipe supports, hangers, guides and spring supports for compliance with approved drawings.Verify installation of valves, fittings, gaskets, bolts, reducers, strainers and related components.Inspect weld quality, ensure weld maps are updated and verify NDE records and traceability.Confirm piping systems are mechanically complete and ready for hydrotesting or reinstatement.Inspect flange connections including facing, gasket selection, bolt material, orientation and alignment.Verify torque/tensioning procedures, tightening sequence, bolt lubrication and gap tolerances.Witness and inspect hydrostatic and pneumatic testing, including leak checks, pressure holding and line walk‑downs.Ensure all inspection records, reports and documentation are completed accurately and timely.Requirements:Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.35 years of QC piping inspection experience in Oil & Gas projects.Strong knowledge of piping materials, isometrics, welding processes and testing procedures.Familiarity with ASME, API and ISO standards.Certifications such as CSWIP, ASNT or API are preferred.Excellent attention to detail with strong reporting and documentation skills.Good communication and coordination abilities to work with multidisciplinary teams.#J-18808-Ljbffr
