Job Title: Project Manager – Cloud Migration (AWS to Azure)Location: UAEIndustry: BankingEmployment Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleOur banking client is seeking a technically strong Project Manager specializing in cloud migration, with hands‑on experience leading AWS‑to‑Azure or AWS‑to‑any‑cloud migration programs. This role requires a blend of project governance, technical understanding, and stakeholder management within regulated environments.You’ll drive end‑to‑end migration initiatives, ensuring secure, compliant, and seamless transition of workloads, applications, and data from AWS to Azure (or other cloud platforms).Key ResponsibilitiesLead full lifecycle cloud migration projects from AWS to Azure (or other cloud environments).Develop migration roadmaps, timelines, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.Coordinate with cloud architects, engineers, security teams, and application owners.Oversee discovery, assessment, planning, execution, cutover, and post‑migration stabilization.Understand AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch) and Azure equivalents (VMs, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Azure AD, VNets, Functions, Monitor).Manage migration of compute workloads, databases, storage, networking components, security configurations, application dependencies.Ensure alignment with cloud best practices (Well‑Architected Framework, landing zones, tagging, governance).Ensure all migration activities adhere to banking regulatory requirements (data residency, encryption, auditability).Work with InfoSec to validate identity, access, encryption, and compliance controls.Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.Manage project budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.Run steering committees, status meetings, and executive reporting.Track KPIs, SLAs, and migration success metrics.Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).Act as the primary point of contact between business, IT, cloud teams, and third‑party vendors.Translate technical concepts into business language for non‑technical stakeholders.Drive change management and user adoption.
