Project Engineer - Surveillance

Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.About the PositionWynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join the resort’s Surveillance team.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesProgram, configure, and calibrate CCTV cameras to meet project specifications and client requirements.Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CCTV systems using specialized software, ensuring optimal functionality and rapid response to any technical issues.Participate in system upgrades, including the integration of new hardware and software components.Assist in designing surveillance layouts and providing technical recommendations to project managers and clients.Document system configurations, maintenance schedules, and service reports with precision and clarity.Work collaboratively with IT, security, and project management teams to deliver seamless solutions.Stay up-to-date on industry advancements, emerging technologies, and security best practices.Accurately record work performed, equipment status, and any issues encountered during site visits. Communicate findings to supervisors and recommend basic corrective actions when appropriate.About YouThe ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualificationsProven experience in programming and maintaining CCTV systems.Working knowledge of CCTV system software, with the ability to perform diagnostics and updates.Familiarity with basic IP networking principles.Relevant certifications in electronic security or networking (a plus, but not required).Exceptional problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic project team.3 years of experience working as a CCTV technician, systems integrator or related field.High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certifications in electronics or security systems are an asset but not mandatory for entry-level roles.Employees must become certified in the Genetec VMS within 6 months of employment.Majority of work will be done in the field, though employees will operate in an office environment as well. Field work includes public and private areas of the resort, offsite locations, warehouses and outdoors. These areas could include extreme heat, smokey environments, dirt, dust, and loud noise.Ability to carry ladders and equipment, operate electronic lifts, work at heights, and perform tasks involving standing, bending, and lifting throughout the day.Ability to stand or sit for an entire shift.Ability to operate a CCTV keyboard and typical office equipment.Alarm strobe lights may occasionally be activated.Occasional overtime may be required.We offer an attractive salary, paid in Dirhams (AED), the local currency of the UAE.
