Professor/Associate Professor Health Professions Education

The College of Medicine at Gulf Medical University, UAE, is seeking a dynamic and motivated faculty member with a PhD in Health Professions Education. Applicants with a medical background and expertise in curriculum design, assessment, and educational research will be considered. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching UG and PG programs, lead innovative educational initiatives, and engage in scholarly activity aligned with institutional priorities. Experience in interprofessional education, digital learning, or faculty development will be an added advantageKey ResponsibilitiesLead and contribute to curriculum design, review, and enhancement across health professions programsSupport implementation of innovative teaching methodologies (CBME, PBL, simulation-based learning, digital learning)Drive faculty development initiatives in teaching, assessment, and educational best practicesContribute to academic quality assurance and accreditation processes (CAA and international standards)Conduct and publish research in health professions educationProvide academic leadership, mentoring, and guidance to faculty and studentsSupport interdisciplinary collaboration across colleges and programsParticipate in institutional committees and strategic academic initiativesQualifications & ExperiencePhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Health Professions Education, Medical Education, or a related fieldAdditional clinical or healthcare background will be an advantageAssociate Professor: Minimum 8–10 years of academic experienceProfessor: Minimum 10–15 years of academic experience with proven leadershipStrong track record in teaching, research publications, and curriculum developmentExperience with accreditation and quality assurance processesExpertise in health professions education and curriculum designStrong knowledge of modern teaching and assessment strategiesExcellent research, publication, and academic writing skillsStrong communication, leadership, and mentoring abilitiesExperience in digital learning and educational technologies is an added advantage#J-18808-Ljbffr
