Searching for an opportunity that just adds up? We’re looking for a new Purchasing Manager with a strong ability to manage supplier relationships, optimize procurement processes, and ensure cost-effective purchasing. Someone who can balance quality, efficiency, and budget control while supporting hotel operations seamlessly all with complete confidenceDay-to-Day ResponsibilitiesEvery day is different, but you’ll mostly be:Translates operating forecasts into material requirements plans and thereby determines standard stock and re-order levels with Department Heads and ManagementParticipates in negotiations for service contractsIdentifies and develops reliable sources of supplyIdentifies and organizes adequate storage for all perpetual inventory items and implements corporate policy, products and initiatives in order to maximize cost effectivenessEstablishes adequate record keeping and issuance proceduresProtects inventories from waste, spoilage and theftKeeps abreast of the marketplace as to innovation and valueProcesses purchase requests from departmentsObtains competitive quotations and bidsEnsure physical stock take is conducted as scheduledPosts orders to inventory module and produces purchase order for receiver to match against goods receivedPlace approved ordersEstablishes standard purchasing specificationsEnsures products and resources are assigned to the appropriate department and billed accordinglySupervises the hotels print shop to ensure timely and economical production of printed materialEnsures that market surveys are completed in coordination with the Executive Chef, F&B Manager and AccountantQualificationsBachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting orFinanceOrthree years in hotel accounting or internal audit withone year in a manager roleOr an equivalent combination of education and experienceMust speak fluent EnglishBenefitsWe give our people everything they need to succeed.
