The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality eye care services to our patients while offering them top of the line customer service. The Optometrist will be expected to stay abreast of developments in optometry and use their expertise to help diagnose and treat vision problems.We offer a salary of 1100 and are ready to consider an immigrant for this position. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, vacation time, and a retirement plan.Requirements for the position:• Must have an Optometry degree or equivalent qualifications• Must have at least 3 years of experience as an Optometrist• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients• Must have a good understanding of optometric procedures and techniques as well as current medical codes• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English• Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other healthcare professionals• Must be computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Office programsJob Duties & Responsibilities:• Provide comprehensive eye exams utilizing diagnostic equipment such as visual field analyzers, phoropters and refractors• Analyze test results in order to accurately diagnose vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism• Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses according to patient’s needs• Provide appropriate advice on contact lens care and wear• Educate patients on proper eye care techniques• Monitor patients over time to assess any changes in vision or health status• Keep accurate records of patient’s visits and test resultsIf you think you possess all the above qualities, please apply now!
