The School Nurse will play a vital role in promoting the health and well‑being of students, providing medical care, and supporting health education initiatives within the school community.Health Assessments:Conduct health assessments and screenings for students to identify any health concerns. Maintain accurate and confidential health records for each student.First Aid and Emergency Response:Provide immediate first aid and medical care for students and staff in case of injuries or illnesses. Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.Health Education:Deliver health education programs to students, promoting healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care. Collaborate with teachers to integrate health education into the curriculum.Medication Management:Administer prescribed medications to students according to established protocols. Educate and train school staff on medication administration procedures.Health Promotion:Implement health promotion activities and campaigns within the school community. Organize health‑related events and workshops for students, parents, and staff.Communication with Parents:Communicate with parents regarding students' health concerns and coordinate follow‑up care when needed. Collaborate with parents to obtain necessary health information and consent.Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals:Collaborate with external healthcare professionals, such as physicians and specialists, to ensure comprehensive care for students. Facilitate referrals to external healthcare providers as needed.Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date health records for students, including immunization records and medical histories. Generate reports on health trends and concerns within the school population.Educational Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Nursing and valid nursing licenseCertification in School NursingCPR and First Aid CertificationExperience:3-5 years of experience with at least 2-3 years of experience, preferably in an educational setting.#J-18808-Ljbffr
