Neurology Consultant & Specialist (Arabic speaker)Abu Dhabi, United Arab EmiratesJob DescriptionManagerial Task:Supports, implements, and follows all hospital, departmental and divisional initiatives, policies and proceduresHelps lead and implement the organization’s performance management system, including peer review and the productivity and utilization review processesParticipates in the organization’s performance management system, including peer review and the productivity and utilization review processesAssists with scheduling and supports the Division Chief in ensuring that adequate medical coverage is provided within the Division at all timesAttends Divisional meetings as requiredAssists the Division Chief in the recruitment of new medical staff when appropriateAssumes other administrative or clinical duties as requested by the Division ChiefTechnical Task:Diagnoses and treats patients according to established standards of best practice for the post holder’s specialty. The Consultant Physician’s clinical duties include but are not limited to the following:Oversees the clinical activities of the junior medical staff and is assumes responsibility for the care they provideComplies with all established hospital polices regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, surgical procedures, discharge protocols, outpatient and follow up practicesPractices appropriate utilization of the organization’s resourcesLeads ward round; reassesses both inpatients and outpatients on a regular basis, in line with established best practiceAccurately documents all relevant clinical information in a clear and timely fashion in accordance with established proceduresRegularly reviews results of all investigations and modifies treatment as requiredLiaises with other medical specialties and support services for additional input as requiredActively participates in multi-disciplinary meetings to help plan effective, safe and holistic care for individual patientsEnsures preparation of patients for all procedures including obtaining informed consentAccepts clinically appropriate referrals from the Emergency Department, primary care, other departments, specialty clinics, walk in patients, and patients referred from other hospitalsSEHA Compliance:Complying consistently with facility policies, procedures and practices and ensuring alignment with SEHA facilities policies.Completing and maintaining regulatory requirements including: licensure and certification and other mandatory training within established time frameQualificationsSEHA Qualifications:Qualification from Tier 1b. Qualification from Tier 2c. Current national license or equivalentd.
