As a Network Engineer, you will ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of critical network systems that support daily banking operations. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining secure, compliant, and high-performing infrastructure.Detailed Job DescriptionAs a Network Engineer within the banking sector, you will work closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT operations teams to deliver secure and robust network solutions. You will manage enterprise-scale LAN, WAN, and data center environments while implementing best practices aligned with banking compliance standards. The role involves handling advanced routing, firewall, and VPN configurations while proactively monitoring network performance and addressing vulnerabilities. You will also participate in key infrastructure upgrade projects, security hardening initiatives, and business continuity activities. This is a hands‑on engineering role ideal for professionals experienced in highly governed and mission‑critical environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and data center network infrastructure.Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.Manage and support network security solutions including NGFW, IPS, VPNs, and web filtering.Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols.Implement and maintain site-to-site and remote access VPN solutions.Monitor network performance to ensure high availability, redundancy, and regulatory compliance.Perform network troubleshooting, packet analysis, and root‑cause analysis of critical incidents.Support network upgrades, firmware updates, and participate in change management.Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and enhance network security posture.Maintain comprehensive network documentation including HLD/LLD diagrams.Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise networking; banking experience preferred.Strong technical expertise with Cisco routing & switching technologies.Hands‑on experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Cisco Firepower firewalls.Proficiency in VPN technologies such as IPsec, MPLS, GRE, and DMVPN.Knowledge of network monitoring, packet capture tools, and advanced troubleshooting.Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, Fortinet NSE, or Palo Alto certifications are advantageous.Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience with F5 BIG‑IP load balancers and WAF technologies.Familiarity with network access control (NAC) solutions.Background working in banking, financial services, or other regulated sectors.Knowledge of SD‑WAN technologies.Experience with automation or scripting for network operations.Recruitment Pro TipTo stand out, highlight real‑world projects where you’ve improved network performance, enhanced security posture, or supported regulated environments—banking experience and hands‑on firewall work are especially strong differentiators for this role.#J-18808-Ljbffr
