<div><h3><b>Job Title:</b>Senior Linux Systems Administrator (Ubuntu / Red Hat)</h3><p><b>Location:</b>Remote (Preferred: IST)<br/><b>Experience Required:</b>10+ years (Senior Level)<br/><b>Department:</b>Infrastructure&Cloud Operations<br/><b>Reports To:</b>Infrastructure Lead / DevOps Manager</p><h3><b>Position Overview</b></h3><p>We are seeking a<b>Senior Linux Systems Administrator</b>experienced in<b>Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)</b>environments. The role involves managing and optimizing large-scale Linux server infrastructure across production and development environments, ensuring uptime, reliability, and security.</p><p>This position will closely collaborate with DevOps, Network, and Software teams to support mission‑critical systems, implement automation, and streamline infrastructure management processes.</p><h3><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h3><ul><li>Manage, monitor, and maintain<b>Ubuntu and Red Hat Linux</b>servers (production and staging).</li><li>Perform system upgrades, kernel updates, patch management, and performance tuning.</li><li>Implement and manage<b>user access, security policies, and backup/recovery strategies</b>.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, OS, and network‑related issues.</li><li>Maintain configuration management and deployment pipelines using<b>Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools</b>.</li><li>Monitor system health and resource utilization; ensure optimal uptime and performance.</li><li>Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams for environment provisioning (AWS, Azure, or on‑prem).</li><li>Manage<b>server hardening, SSH configuration, SSL certificates</b>, and OS‑level security compliance.</li><li>Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and incident response activities.</li><li>Create and maintain detailed system documentation, SOPs, and audit reports.</li></ul><h3><b>Required Skills&Experience</b></h3><ul><li>5+ years of hands‑on experience in<b>Linux system administration (Ubuntu&Red Hat)</b>.</li><li>Strong command of<b>Bash scripting</b>and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Shell, or Python basics).</li><li>Experience with<b>monitoring tools</b>such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.</li><li>Solid understanding of<b>networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, NFS, SSH, firewalls)</b>.</li><li>Experience with<b>virtualization and containerization technologies (VMware, KVM, Docker, etc.)</b>.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting skills with system logs, kernel issues, and service failures.</li><li>Familiarity with<b>version control (Git)</b>and<b>CI/CD pipeline environments</b>.</li><li>Exposure to<b>cloud platforms</b>(AWS, GCP, Azure) is an added advantage.</li><li>Excellent documentation and communication skills; ability to support global teams.</li></ul><h3><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></h3><ul><li>Red Hat Certified System Administrator (<b>RHCSA</b>) or Engineer (<b>RHCE</b>) certification.</li><li>Experience managing<b>high‑availability clusters</b>, load balancing, and RAID management.</li><li>Previous experience in<b>enterprise‑scale infrastructure environments</b>or tech product companies.</li></ul><h3><b>Soft Skills</b></h3><ul><li>Strong ownership and accountability mindset.</li><li>Detail‑oriented with a proactive approach to issue prevention.</li><li>Excellent communication and coordination with cross‑functional teams.</li><li>Ability to handle pressure and maintain SLAs in critical environments.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
