Librarian: Community Research & Programs Lead (Accommodation)

As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, providing research assistance to patrons, and promoting library services and resources.Key Responsibilities:- Manage and organize library materials, including books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and digital resources- Develop and implement library policies and procedures- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide guidance on how to access information- Maintain accurate records of library transactions, such as loans and returns- Promote library services through outreach programs, events, and social media- Train staff on library systems and procedures- Monitor budget and make recommendations for purchasing new materials- Collaborate with other departments to develop programs and services that meet the needs of the communityRequirements:- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail- Strong communication skills to interact with patrons of all ages and backgrounds- Proficiency in using library management systems and online databases- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team- Fluency in English (knowledge of Malayalam is an advantage)- Must have a valid biometric passport (Indian nationality preferred)Benefits:- Competitive salary of 1400$ per month- Full-time position with paid vacation time- Accommodation provided by the companyIf you are passionate about books and love helping people access information, then this is the perfect job for you!
