JOB SUMMARYAbility to take responsibility, initiative, and proactive approach to daily tasks; handle and prepare design tasks, apply design standards, practices, and techniques and handle drawing production of a project from concept design to detailed design. In the ever-evolving field of landscape architecture, you will remain committed to pushing boundaries, embracing innovation, and crafting landscapes that not only stand the test of time but also become cherished legacies for generations to come.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESWorks under the supervision of the Senior Landscape Architect as designated on landscape design issuesPerform a wide variety of conventional and complex assignments by applying landscape architecture design standards, practices, and techniques which requires a fundamental knowledge of landscape, planting and irrigation design, levels and aesthetics.Must be familiar with design, tender and construction processes.Follow design directions and instructions provided by Lead and Senior Landscape ArchitectIllustrate, visualize, and present landscape concepts, ideas, and design.Performs a variety of assignments such as conducting landscape architectural studies, site analysis, developing design concepts and design criteria, and preparing related reports.Develop design concepts and solutions and prepares high-quality presentation drawings, with 3D modeling skills.Develop design concept narrative, sketches, diagrams, mood and design report.Develop hardscape, softscape, landscape structures, and site furniture concepts with relative mood boards.Produce hardscape, softscape, levels, grading plan, setting out, landscape structures and furniture drawings and details as advised and necessary.Ability to produce cut and fill calculationsProvide technical assistance to team members.Prepares concept design, through detailed design to tender documentation.Ensure that designs are done according to codes.Ensure that all work performed is of suitable and acceptable quality.Perform tasks in site supervision such as review of documents and drawings, coordinate approvals with senior architect or project manager and ensure design is performed according to approved documents.Ensure water, soil, and fertilization requirements; and irrigation systems are compatible with the softscape designCoordinate with other disciplines to acquire needed project information and ensure latest updates on the project are incorporated.Training and development, as applicable.Complete other duties as assigned by head of department – Lead and/or senior designersCOMMUNICATION WITHIN THE COMPANYCommunicates with departments regarding needs and requirements.JOB SPECIFICATIONS EXPERIENCEA minimum of five years of professional experience is required.EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture.Fluency in English, both written and spoken.SPECIAL FACTORS / COMPETENCIESProficiency level in oral presentation skills & etiquetteGood level in using computer software related to the position, notably Adobe InDesign & photoshop – AutoCAD - Sketch-up – Revit - Microsoft Office SuiteGood communication skills; verbal & written.Proficient in AutoCAD, REVIT, Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite, Lumion – V-rayExperience and/or willingness and adaptability to transition to a BIM-based design process and delivery paradigm.Good Knowledge in soft and hardscape material available in the marketAbility to work in a complex environment with many moving parts and high levels of ambiguityAbility to work well under pressureBasic technical Landscape Architectural skillsA motivated all-rounder with a positive can-do attitude, team player attitude and demonstrable technical abilities.Ability to develop, draw and communicate technical and design ideas from concept to technical stage.On site experience is an additionAbout the CompanyWhy Join DAOYou’ll be part of a diverse, multidisciplinary international team committed to design excellence and cultural integrity.
