Internal Auditor

Waad Education is seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to establish and lead the internal audit function. The role is responsible for developing a robust audit framework, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, and providing independent assurance to the Board Audit Committee on governance, risk management, and compliance across all schools and corporate functions.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish the internal audit framework, charter, and methodologyDevelop and execute the annual, risk-based internal audit planConduct audits covering operational, academic, financial, HR, procurement, and compliance areasPrepare and present audit reports and recommendations to the Board Audit CommitteeSupport risk management processes and monitor internal control improvementsLead or support fraud investigations and special reviewsPromote strong internal control culture across the organizationRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or related fieldProfessional certification preferred: CIA, CPA, or equivalentMinimum 6 - 8 years of internal audit experience, ideally in education, services, or diversified groups. Big 4 audit firm experience is a plus.Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal control frameworks (COSO), and risk managementExperience implementing or working with cloud-based ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365)Excellent reporting, communication, and analytical skillsKey CompetenciesHigh integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to independently manage audits and meet deadlinesStrong stakeholder management with the ability to challenge processes diplomaticallyStrategic mindset with hands-on execution capability#J-18808-Ljbffr
