Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer shall support the design development and quality assurance of digital learning experiences for a large-scale technology-enabled education platform serving high-school students (Grades 9-12). The role focuses on creating engaging pedagogically sound and scalable learning content across multiple career pathways.Key Responsibilities1. Instructional Design & Content DevelopmentDesign and develop digital courses lessons simulations and project-based learning experiencesTranslate curriculum frameworks learning outcomes and pathway blueprints into structured course designsCreate course outlines storyboards learning activities and instructional materialsEnsure alignment with learning science principles grade-level expectations and learner needs2. Assessment DesignDesign and support diagnostic formative and summative assessmentsDevelop rubrics feedback mechanisms and evaluation criteriaEnsure assessments measure intended learning outcomes and support student progression3. Content Review & Quality AssuranceReview organize and quality-assure content developed by internal teams and external vendorsEnsure accuracy clarity consistency accessibility and instructional qualityIdentify gaps or improvements and support content revisions based on feedback4. LMS & Platform ImplementationSupport the implementation of learning content within the Learning Management System (LMS)Collaborate with platform UX and product teams to optimize content structure and learner experienceTest and validate course functionality navigation and learner flow5. Collaboration & Stakeholder EngagementWork closely with curriculum leads subject matter experts content vendors AI teams and platform teamsProvide instructional guidance to ensure pedagogical consistency across courses and pathwaysParticipate in review meetings planning sessions and improvement initiatives6. Continuous Improvement & DocumentationSupport ongoing updates and enhancements based on learner data feedback and program needsMaintain instructional design documentation templates and standardsContribute to the continuous improvement of instructional processes and quality benchmarksRequirementsRequired Qualifications5-8 years of experience in instructional design or learning experience designStrong portfolio of digital courses and/or simulationsExperience with instructional design modelsProven experience working with content vendors or agenciesStrong assessment and learning outcomes design skillsFamiliarity with LMS platforms and SCORM/xAPI standardsPreferred SkillsExperience in K-12 higher education or career readiness programsExperience designing scenario-based or simulation learningFamiliarity with tools such as Articulate Rise Captivate Genially or H5PExperience working in the UAE or regional education contextComfort working in fast-paced large-scale programs#J-18808-Ljbffr
