Job Description
Manage and lead the HSE team to the overall administration and implementation of HSE Initiatives, programs, and proceduresParticipate in developing and implementing operational risk assessments to help in identifying & mitigating hazards for critical activitiesConduct Behavioural Safety Audits (BSA) and high-profile tours as per HSEMS guidelinesCarry out or arrange workplace HSE inspections and audits and ensure that any remedial recommendations are implementedAudit subcontractors for compliance with HSE systems and proceduresMaintain accident statistics, analyze trends, and propose and take remedial actions where necessarySupport and guide the Construction team in establishing and processing HSE initiatives, programs, and proceduresEnsure that company HSE policies, procedures, regulations, and objectives are effectively implementedFoster continuous improvement of existing HSE Management Systems by sharing best practicesMonitor the HSE Performance of Subcontractors and ensure contractual and other relevant requirements are satisfied adequatelyAssist with investigating accidents, incidents (including ‘near misses’), and dangerous occurrences and make recommendations to prevent a recurrenceDevelop and manage HSE awareness campaignsEnsure that all critical activities are risk assessed and control measures are applied before executionManage activities undertaken by subordinatesIdentify HSE training needs for subordinatesAssess the site HSE issues and report to the Project HSE ManagerProvide HSE guidance to the Line management on all HSE issuesDetermine the HSE impacts on scope, schedule, and strategy for the methods applied in ProjectAssess HSE requirements for each work scopeFollow up on HSE observation and close out the statusPrepare weekly and monthly KPI reportsScreen and interview potential Sub-Contractors for HSE personnel, qualifications, and competencyVerify employees' competencies in HSE, including Sub-Contractor ManagementLead Site HSE campaigns, mass TBT, periodic meetings, and on-site walkthroughsVerify Sub-Contractors of HSE performance and implementation of NMDC standardsPlan, define, report, and follow up on emergency drills scenariosDefine HSE milestonePlan and execute auditsAssess leading and lagging indicators, including analysis of the HSE Tracking registersInterface with Project stakeholders all relevant HSE IssuesVerify quality HSE induction (e.g., HSE Induction and Emergency Response E-Learning) and training plans are in placeResponsibilitiesManage and lead the HSE team to the overall administration and
