Job Description
SummaryEnsure that employees receive the highest standards of training on equipment and that safety standards are maintained at the highest levels with the goal of zero injuries or loss, across multiple business units, under the guidance of the QHSE Supervisor.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists the QHSE management in maintaining and administering the Integrated Management System (IMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Standards at the terminalsAssist QHSE Supervisor with their duties and responsibilities across the business units.Work in shifts a per department requirement.Ensures site compliance in relation to local regulations and company certification standards.Undertakes the training of employees as per the training plan, including the identification of suitable mentors.Conducts inductions for new joiners and third parties, as well as refresher training sessions and toolbox talks.Assist in conducting terminal-wise Safety Committee Meetings as per schedule.Monitors terminal safety and security in line with ISPS (International Ship & Port Facility Security Code) and local regulations.Assist in conducting accident investigations and implements corrective/preventative actions with the appropriate parties.Undertakes the periodic inspection of operational assets including firefighting equipment, first aid equipment, alarm systems, and lifting gears.Monitors terminal security and safety and reports any findings.Performs safety inspections and reports any findings.Examines potential unsafe working conditions and provides preventative/corrective actions.Coordinates with the department for managing and organizing the safe disposal of hazardous substances for all terminals.Actively get involved and participate with the workforce regarding hazard identification and improvements.Assist in conducting safety inductions for all new employees and third parties.Assist in the periodical review of operational risk assessments and safe systems of work.Conduct the periodic inspection of operational assets including firefighting equipment, first aid provisions, lifting gear, and emergency alarms.Assist in conducting mock drills at the terminal.Performs other duties as required.QualificationEducational BackgroundBachelor's Degree/ Diploma or Equivalent.Technical Qualification / CertificationIOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH IGC, IMS Internal Auditor, HABC Level 3 Train the Trainer Qualified, Nebosh Accident Investigation Course.A driving license is essential.Related Work ExperienceMinimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the port industry.#J-18808-Ljbffr
