Head of Reinsurance

General OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Head of Reinsurance for our client, a leading insurance organization in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company’s reinsurance strategy to optimize risk transfer, enhance financial performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned reinsurance professional with a strong understanding of the UAE insurance market to play a key leadership role in a reputed and fast-growing organization.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive reinsurance strategies aligned with company objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite. Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams to design optimal reinsurance structures and coverage.Operations Oversight: Manage treaty and facultative reinsurance arrangements, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and financial integrity. Monitor recoverables, reserves, and collateral requirements.Market & Relationship Management: Analyze UAE and regional reinsurance markets to identify and evaluate potential partners. Build and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers, brokers, and regulatory bodies.Negotiation & Placement: Lead negotiations with reinsurers and brokers to secure competitive and compliant terms. Oversee the placement and renewal of reinsurance programs to support business objectives.Risk & Performance Management: Monitor portfolio performance, loss experience, and exposure to optimize reinsurance programs.
