Head of Legal

The ideal candidate will be UK or Western-qualified, with at least 4 years of post-qualification experience, and a proven track record in handling cross-border disputes and arbitration proceedings.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise on Bilateral Investment Treaties (BITs), treaty protections, and related disputes.Manage and support international arbitration cases, including strategy development, drafting, and coordination with external counsel.Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents with cross-border implications.Conduct legal research on international investment law, treaty interpretation, and arbitration frameworks.Advise senior management on dispute avoidance, compliance, and investment structuring strategies.Monitor and assess developments in international arbitration rules and global investment law.Qualifications & RequirementsUK or other Western legal qualification (solicitor, barrister, or equivalent).Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience, with a focus on BITs and international arbitration.Strong knowledge of international investment law, arbitration institutions, and treaty disputes.Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders and external counsel.Commercial awareness and ability to align legal advice with business objectives.#J-18808-Ljbffr
