SynopsisEnsure efficiency in operations by performing maintenance and servicing duties as per specific guidelines. These include coordination of various technical activities, ensuring adherence to mechanical procedures and monitoring the final tests of equipment and vehicles after servicing and repair. Ensure adherence to actively participating in the repair, disassembling and assembling of engines and overhauls components.AccountabilitiesExecute the activities of the assigned shift and ensure receipt of timely and accurate shift related information from previous shift personnel.Receive inputs on the daily activity schedule and execute work accordingly (view daily roster and divide tasks amongst team accordingly with individuals assigned to activities).Monitor logbook and ensure records on rectification work assigned to section are executed as per schedule; this includes timely updating of details such as job cards, engine serial and parts numbers, equipment from which removed, date and time work started and completed individual completing task etc.Ensure operating and safety procedures of various equipment are adhered to; this included physical involvement in repair and overhaul of equipment, engines and components.Monitor the final test of equipment and vehicle after servicing. This includes ensuring the efficient operation of engine, gearbox steering, brakes, instruments etc.Use experience and understanding of processes to identify user requirements, resolve/maintain/repair problems and return equipment to concerned section in serviceable condition within the defined timelines.Assist technicians in fault diagnosis or in installation of new or rebuilt equipment.Coordinate with foreman post completion of tasks assigned and provide updates to ensure timely updating of systems (inform foremen post completion of tasks, who will close the job cards post review of work).Prepare for next shift by coordinating requirements, updating requisite documents and ensuring smooth handover of duties.Monitor escalations and resolve queries as required to ensure uninterrupted operations.Ensure technical, safety and security standards are met through preparation for regular monitoring unannounced checks.To carry out and complete any other reasonable request of the management of the company.Education & ExperienceCompletion of secondary (12 years) technical education, approved recognized Technical course.4-5 years experience in a similar position.Training & KnowledgeThorough understanding of internal systems and processes.Good communication skills.High coordination skills.Detail orientation and result focus.About Etihad AirwaysEtihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, was formed in 2003 and quickly went on to become one of the world’s leading airlines.
