<h3>Overview</h3><p>Global Contractor Safety Expert - Independent consultant. This is a unique opportunity for a leader in Contractor Safety to help develop a national contractor safety platform. This will include advising on and helping to shape the national program, using extensive experience to deliver a best-in-class approach to Contractor Safety. This role is offered on a freelance basis with travel required to the Middle East (rotations and durations to be confirmed).</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Advise on and help shape a national contractor safety program</li><li>Apply extensive contractor safety leadership experience to deliver a best-in-class approach</li><li>Provide on-site and operations consulting support as needed</li></ul><h3>Job requirements</h3><ul><li>Freelance SME with a strong background in global Contractor Safety leadership</li><li>Deep industry experience in Oil&Gas, Mining&Metals, Chemicals, and/or Construction</li><li>Experience with large capital projects</li><li>Leadership experience in global organisations or governing bodies in contractor safety</li><li>Leadership role in a global business or national association (examples include industry associations)</li><li>Experience with named associations such as IOGP, OSHA, ACCSH, The Associated General Contractors of America, ECCS, ARSC, Industry Business Roundtable - Safety&Health Resource Committee, The National Safety Council</li><li>Regional associations in the UK, Europe, Australia, Canada (examples: SSIP, HSE, EU-OSHA, OFSC, National Construction Industry Forum, CCA, CFCSA, Canada Safety Council)</li><li>Willing to travel to the Middle East; available on short notice</li></ul><h3>Leadership associations (examples)</h3><ul><li>USA: OSHA, ACCSH (Advisory Committee on Construction Safety&Health), The Associated General Contractors of America, The Energy Coalition for Contractor Safety (ECCS), The National Safety Council</li><li>UK: Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP), Health and Safety Executive (HSE)</li><li>Europe: European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA)</li><li>Australia: Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC), National Construction Industry Forum</li><li>Canada: CCA (Canadian Construction Association), Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations (CFCSA), The Canada Safety Council</li></ul><h3>Diversity and Inclusion</h3><p>dss+ is committed to a diverse workforce and believes that this is essential to strengthening our company and driving sustainable growth.
