The General Repair Technician plays a key role in maintaining operational continuity by delivering high-quality repairs while adhering to company safety and quality standards.What you will doConduct maintenance and repairs on all BYD vehicles.Complete and maintain check sheets and vehicle write-ups on the repair order.Report additional work required on vehicles after completing an EVHC.Use diagnostic technology and electronic inspection tools to perform vehicle assessments.Maintain tools and equipment in the company vehicle in line with company standards.Ensure proper handling and care of special tools.Complete assigned jobs within scheduled timeframes to minimize downtime.Accurately identify faults during initial inspections.Reduce breakdowns and repeat issues through precise workmanship.Strictly follow safety procedures, maintaining a zeroincident environment.Ensure optimal use of parts and labor with minimal waste.Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area.Promote and ensure a safe working environment for self and others.Strive for “Fix it Right the First Time” service quality.Conduct thorough diagnosis and troubleshooting.Perform final inspection and quality testing of vehicles before delivery.Required skills to be successfulProven technical expertise in independent servicing, repairs, and component replacement.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.Experience in servicing Electric or Hybrid vehicles (mandatory).Strong understanding of all major vehicle systems.About the TeamThis role reports to the Service Supervisor and operates within a dynamic, fast‑paced Electric Vehicle workshop environment.What equips you for the roleMinimum of 5 years’ experience in servicing Electric or Hybrid vehicles.UAE Driving License is an advantage.Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Good communication skills for coordination, documentation, and reportingAbout Al-Futtaim AutomotiveA major division of the UAE-based Al-Futtaim Group of companies, Al-Futtaim Automotive is an industry leader with presence in 10 countries across the Middle East, Asia and Africa.Our core business activities at Al-Futtaim Automotive include distribution, manufacturing, leasing and aftersales, and we are firmly established as the regional representative of some of the world’s most iconic automotive brands: Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Volvo and RAM.We are driven by a customer‑centric approach, constantly pushing the boundaries on innovation, quality standards, and value‑added service across our vast universe of customers - right from motoring enthusiasts to fleet operators to contractors.
