Job Description Position Title: Press Operator - 45 MM & 20 MMDivision: Forging ShopCategory: Specialty Skilled LaborLocation: Eastern Province, Saudi ArabiaSalary: SAR 2,500 - 3,500 + FAT Job Summary The Press Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of 45 MM and 20 MM forging presses in a forging shop environment. The role involves handling hot forgings, monitoring press operations, ensuring product quality, and strictly adhering to safety and operational standards to meet production targets. Key Responsibilities Press OperationsOperate 45 MM and 20 MM forging presses as per approved production plans and work instructionsSet up press parameters including pressure, stroke, temperature, and cycle timeEnsure correct alignment of dies and tooling before press operationMonitor forging operations continuously to avoid defects or equipment damageHot Forging HandlingSafely handle hot forgings using tongs, manipulators, cranes, or other approved toolsEnsure proper transfer of heated billets between furnaces, presses, and cooling areasFollow safe handling practices to prevent injuries and material damageQuality ControlInspect forged components visually and dimensionally during and after productionIdentify surface defects, dimensional deviations, or forging irregularitiesSegregate non-conforming products and report quality issues to supervisorsWork closely with Quality and Production teams to maintain forging standardsEquipment & Maintenance SupportPerform routine pre-start and post-operation checks of forging pressesIdentify abnormal noises, vibrations, oil leaks, or performance issuesReport equipment malfunctions promptly to the maintenance teamAssist maintenance personnel during minor adjustments or breakdownsSafety & ComplianceStrictly follow HSE rules, SOPs, and shop-floor safety proceduresUse prescribed PPE such as heat-resistant gloves, face shields, helmets, and safety shoesEnsure safe working practices during hot metal operationsMaintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work areaCoordination & ProductivityCoordinate with supervisors, furnace operators, crane operators, and quality inspectorsSupport production targets related to output, cycle time, and rejection controlFollow shift instructions and production schedules effectively Requirements Experience RequirementMinimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Press Operator in a forging shop environmentProven experience operating 45 MM / 20 MM forging pressesExperience in handling hot forgings and high-temperature operations Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of forging processes and press operationsAbility to read and follow work instructions and SOPsGood awareness of industrial safety practicesPhysically fit to work in high-temperature shop-floor conditionsAbility to work independently and as part of a team Work Environment & Conditions Forging shop environment with exposure to heat, noise, and heavy machineryShift-based work as per production requirementsOvertime applicable based on workload and production demands
