Fitness Instructor

ResponsibilitiesTo ensure that Maintenance Gymnasium equipment forms are up to date and implement preventative maintenance programs if necessary.To be fully aware of current and future services offered by the hotel and to make suggestions for improvement expansion or creation of new services.To remain up to date with local and international trends in the health and leisure services through internet magazines and other applicable media.To manage the fitness centre retail area inclusive of stock control inventory and salesTo manage the fitness centre and sports facilities inclusive of other outdoor and indoor leisure programs.To ensure high standards of cleanliness in the departmentTo develop and implement personalized exercise programmes for guests who request private sessions and for those who would benefit from personal instruction.To provide onetoone Personal Training when required.To provide Fitness Consultations for arriving guests.To assist guests with retail purchases where required.To cover Gymnasium Reception and retail areas when requiredTo handle any guest complaints and refer to the Supervisor or Manager where necessary.To provide regular follow up contact for guests and monitor progress of any recommended fitness programs throughout their stay.To ensure that proper policies and procedures are followed in regards to monitoring the health and wellbeing of guests participating in classes and using the gym/sports facilities inclusive of administering medical questionnaires.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED or DiplomaInternationally recognized personal training certification.A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position preferably in the hospitality industry.Knowledge of Fitness Principles and Fitness Group ClassesAdditional InformationYour team and working environment:Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island is a unique resort; where exclusivity and luxury define every experience every time.
